My identical twin sons have been asking, “Who are you?” a lot lately. They’re doing it in jest, trying to mimic each other and trick us into thinking Zack is Gordon and Gordon is Zack. But, I think it’s a fair question for us all to consider…
Who are you?
We’re in quite the moment here in the U.S. where it feels like hatred, racism, division, and stripping people of their humanity is winning. Every day is some new affront. Every day people lose their livelihood, their family, their fight for justice and equality.
I ask again, who are you?
And, who do you want to be — who do you want to become? Whose example are you following, imitating, mimicking?
